Out of This World

Hi everybody! I hope you are doing well. Things have been a little crazy around here. Maybe you can relate? LOL I sure hope you will forgive me for my oh so sporadic blog posts lately. Not only have I been super busy preparing for the launch of my shoppe, but also my littlest furbaby Pumpkin (who is a Yorkie just shy of 4 lbs.) had fourteen teeth removed last week. OUCH!!! She has needed extra attention ever since...making sure she was getting enough water, softening her dog food, and just all around TLC. She is on the mend though, and steadily working her way back to normal.

I have had this Little Inventors image from the Lilliputs line at Squiggle Stamps colored for quite awhile, and as soon as I saw the sketch for the April Squiggle Stamps challenge I knew just what I just do with it. My crafty mojo has been a little low, so I stuck to the sketch pretty closely. I think these little pals turned out kind of cute. I really need to have more boyish cards on hand...I guess this is a start. I really appreciate your visits, and I am ready to show you some love with a little blog candy next week. Stay tuned! :)

Thanks for stopping by my little neck of the galaxy today!

Spring Lilliputs

Happy Saturday! :)'s really been awhile since I last posted to my blog. I am so sorry about that! Not only was my mojo on hiatus, but I have also been busy preparing for the upcoming launch of my little shoppe. I have been having so much fun, and I just can't wait to share everything with you!

I recently fell in love with the Lilliputs line of digi images available at Squiggle Stamps. I am not affiliated with this company or anything like that, I just think this line of artwork by illustrator Lauren Beard is fantastic. This was also my first attempt at rufflizing (the art of turning grosgrain ribbon into ruffled's a word I Hmm...the process of turning this ribbon into ruffled ribbon was quite interesting. I watched a you tube video first (okay I really watched the first minute of the video thanks to my short attention span), and then gave it a try. I may have muttered a few un-ladylike words during this process, but the end result was worth it...I think anyway. If you've been thinking about trying it, I encourage you to do so. With a little practice, you can get an entirely different look out of your ribbon.

Wishing you a fantastic holiday weekend with your friends and family!
