Farewell 2 Cute

Happy hump day everybody! :) I hope you are all having a fabulous summer! Today's card is all about summer, and I'm all about summer right now as well. Not that Nebraska winters aren't a barrel of laughs and all, but I like a little sunshine in my life. LOL I broke out my Cricut machine once again to create the word summer and the wave border. What a fun little machine! The sand was created by adding a thin layer of glossy accents on top of the Copic coloring and then sprinkling Martha Stewart crystal course glitter on top. The sand looks really sparkly IRL!

Soooo, I'm wondering how many of you Twilight fans were up late last night watching the new Eclipse movie? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the movie if you had the chance to see it. I'll likely see it while it's still in the theatre, but I'll probably wait until a little of the excitement over it settles down.

Also, today is my last day as a guest designer for 2 Cute Rubber stamps. Thank you to the team at 2 Cute for the warm welcome as a guest designer (wink)! :)

Have a sunshine filled day!

Flying By

Well hello there! Today I am sharing a card made for a little boy named Sam. Have you heard about the Super Sam campaign that Kathy of Pixie Dust Studio has organized? Check out her blog post here and learn how you can brighten the day of a little boy battling cancer.

I have decided to enter this card in the current Pixie Dust challenge, which is called "Round and Round". It's a spinner card, so that airplane twirls round and round when the card is turned on it's side. I sure hope Sam likes it!

Last night we had some major storm action in the Omaha area. There were even tornadoes reported in nearby towns. Now, I have four dogs so my house is always a little bit crazy. Four dogs freaked out by thunder, lightening, and hail makes for a real canine mad house. Luckily we survived the crazy dogs (and the storm). LOL

Here's hoping there are blue skies in your forecast!

2 Cute!

Hi everybody...I'm back! My apologies for the recent blog hiatus. I was out of town for a few weeks, and after I returned home I came down with a bug that kicked my booty. When I'm sick my mojo takes a hike, but luckily I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. I look forward to getting back to regular blog posting. :)

I'm so excited to announce that I have been asked to be a guest designer for 2 Cute Rubber Stamps for the month of June...woot woot! 2 Cute offers both rubber stamps and digi images, and they are just that...too cute! I hope you'll check back throughout the month to see the other projects I've made with these adorable images.

I dusted off my Cricut for this project. Can you believe it!?! LOL I have so many under-loved crafty toys...I must, must, must start playing with them more. Those little cherry die cuts were made using the Cricut Paisley cartridge. I just love those cherries! I also added a little bit of glossy accents to the ice cream toppings and cherry on the Turtle Sundae digi image. It's difficult to notice that in the photo, but I think it adds a little something. Well, thank you so much for stopping by today! I'll see you soon...

Have a cherry nice day! :)
